How to change the duration?

Hi IVS Support,

I have video longer than 5 mins, but whenever I export to *.mov or *.avi (uncompressed), it only allow to export the first 30 seconds of video. I have tried to change the settings in File > Preferences > Program Configuration and also I/O > Media Files Output > MOV (Settings), but it still gives me 31 seconds video at max. Settings button doesn't work (if I choose "AVI Uncompressed"), it closes the App whenever the [Settings] button gets clicked. Is it a bug?

Thanks

Re: How to change the duration?

Hi Ratna,

have you adjusted the MOVIE bar IN/OUT to match the clip size to export?

Im using free version, is it possible to export 5mins video? I also faced another issue. The audio suddenly was not exported although in the Preview window there is audio. Kindly please assist. Thanks very much. Regards, Ratna

Re: How to change the duration?

Hi Ratna,

ivsEdits LE has no exporting time limitations, the exporting IN Out can be adjusted on Timeline using the MOVIE bar, this bar is like a clip placed in the Movie bar track. About to adjust IN Out from exporting Window, it should be not allowed because it is not possible to modify timeline objects like the clips from an external dll module. see this picture

Best Regards

Re: How to change the duration?

Hello Ratna,

I suggest you to take a look on the ivsEdits user guide on page 56 "Export Tools".

The Movie Bar allows us to export a desired range of timeline. The Movie Bar can be dragged and trimmed like a clip in order to get the desired Timeline Gap. Another way to place the Movie Bar is to use its contextual menu.

To access this menu, we can right click on the “Movie Bar Row”, the row conteining the “Movie Bar”, and choose one of the options.
“Extend on Selected Clips” will extend the “Movie Bar” over all selected clips, “Extend on All Clips” will extend the “Movie Bar” over all clips of the current Timeline,  “In View” will extend the “Movie Bar” over all clips in the current displayed Timeline Page (the duration depends from current Zoom Level).

The First Menu option, “Movie Info” accesses the “Movie Info Window”, that provides position and duration of the “Movie Bar” on Timeline

TIP: If the "Movie Bar" is out of your view, you can right click on its track to get the contextual menu that allows you to make the operations as mentioned above.

I wish you Happy Editing with ivsEdits, Ciao,

Paolo
